Hi Guys
anyone know of a bit of software for editing midi files?

heres what I want it to do.....

I have a midi backing track. I want to add a midi lead melody by adding
notes one at a time on a musical staff
i.e. add a C quaver, e crotchet, two bars rest, g minim etc..... then play
the whole thing.

Old versions of cakewalk allowed this but the new versions dont seem to
allow it

freeware is fine.

many thanks.

Nuendo can definitely do it, and I'm pretty sure cubase can too. I
have both if you so require :)

Get V2 of nuendo as it doesn't require the dongle emulator ;-)
