For those that can wield a soldering iron, why not build you own?
From left to right we have a boss ce2 (no longer made, sounds way
better than later versions or any 'software' variant!), mxr phase 90
(again, way better than software imho) and a tube screamer :)

Ripped schematics and instructions can be found at tonepad.com.

Hey, they are seriously cool!
Did you make them yourself?

I'd love to be able to make some as they are quite "tweakable" from what I
read on
homebrew pedal sites (probably the one you mentioned)

agghh, wish I had more time, a better iron and a multimeter!

yours look very very impressive - good job.

if ever you get bored of the mxr phase 90 - just holler ;-)

Never! I really like the way it turned out, with the red case and
cream knob ;P Plus it sounds pretty good too.

Let's just say I have the facilities and a little after hours time in
work to complete these things. Painting things at home is a bit of a
no-no as I'm currently in a flat :(

You could go for one of the easier ones to start with (tube screamer,
fuzz...), or there's a US site that does kits etc....search for 'build
your own clone'.

Lucky having the facilities at work.
I have the space, but sadly, not the time :-(

I looked at the tube screamer photo essay and it looked straight forward
enough.
I was keen but ...........
I now own an ibanez TS808..........

<sigh> one day when I have more time I'd love to build some stuff. Not just
to save on cost but just for the fun of it.

One day.....
